Abby Allford serves as a trial attorney at The Law Office of Abby Allford, PLLC, possessing substantial experience in complex criminal and civil litigation across Texas and Oklahoma. With over seventeen years of legal practice, Ms. Allford has engaged in a variety of fields pertaining to general litigation and trial advocacy. Her professional journey encompasses a wide range of legal areas. Ms. Abby Allford has represented clients on both the plaintiff and defense sides of the legal spectrum.
Her extensive exposure to various legal domains equips her with a distinctive perspective and the capacity to offer innovative solutions based on her extensive experience. Her comprehensive legal practice encompasses multiple areas, including, but not limited to, insurance defense, criminal law (including homicide cases), tort litigation, family law, contract disputes, bad faith insurance claims, transactional law, corporate litigation, employment law, personal injury, civil sexual assault cases on behalf of victims, and real estate transactions across Texas and Oklahoma.
Ms Allford’s experience includes a tenure at a mid-sized firm focusing on criminal, family, and personal injury law, where she ascended to the position of managing partner. She has also worked at a small boutique litigation firm, held roles as an assistant attorney general for the State of Texas, served as a public defender for the State of Oklahoma, and operated as a sole practitioner for several years across both states. Additionally, Ms. Allford has served as in-house counsel for a trucking company specializing in the distribution of petroleum products.
Ms. Allford’s commitment to advocating for the accused and the underrepresented has been shaped by her extensive experiences in the courtroom, where she has ardently represented her clients. This dedication has fueled her passion for the legal profession and trial advocacy.
A native of McAlester, Oklahoma, Ms. Allford graduated from the University of Oklahoma before going on to complete her legal education at Oklahoma City University School of Law. Following her admission to the Oklahoma Bar, Courtney practiced in the private sector before establishing her own law firm. Since her admission, she has actively pursued further professional development by attending the Trial Advocacy Institute. She is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association Family Law Section and the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Inn of Court.
Outside of her legal practice, Abby enjoys spending quality time with her dog, Charlie, as well as her friends and family. Moreover, she takes pleasure in traveling abroad, scuba diving, watching college football and basketball, playing golf, attending live music events, and engaging in outdoor activities.
